Polina Karpova

Polina grew up in Saint Petersburg, Russia, where she first fell in love with the water as a competitive synchronized swimmer. Polina earned her Bachelor’s degree in Environment, Sustainability, and Geography at UNC Greensboro, where she also worked at Outdoor Adventures as a program assistant, trip leader, route setter, and challenge course facilitator.

Now, she continues to build on her academic and outdoor leadership skills at UCF as an Outdoor Adventure Graduate Assistant and Civil Engineering master’s student. Her goal is to be a mentor who empowers other students to grow as leaders and individuals, builds inclusive communities, and inspires a love for the outdoors and our planet.

In her free time, Polina likes to run, swim, go on personal outdoor trips, nap, and eat sweet treats!
