Jayla Kirven

Jayla was born in Orlando, Florida, but raised in North Carolina, and earned her Bachelor of Science in Marketing, Finance, and Management Information Systems from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

During her time at UNC Charlotte, Jayla worked as a Peer Advisor, supporting student-athletes and leading workshops on marketing and engagement. She interned with Discovery Education, where she assisted in the launch of Mystery Writing and presented strategies to strengthen sales for their K-5 teacher product. She also gained industry experience as a Sponsorship Research Intern with MVP, analyzing trends in sports sponsorship, and developed leadership skills as a Team Leader at Chick-fil-A, managing a 15-member team and implementing marketing strategies.

She is currently a Graduate Assistant at UCF’s Recreation and Wellness Center while pursuing her Master of Business Administration and Master of Sport Business Management through the DeVos Sport Business Management Program.

In her free time, Jayla enjoys playing basketball, reading, spending time with friends, and traveling. She is excited to be part of the UCF community and looks forward to contributing to the Recreation and Wellness Center.
